Hi Cindelle! Tell us what your job is.

I’m the storekeeper. The first thing I have to do when I receive a package it’s the merchandise identification. If it is a question of sharpening knives, I check all the information on the sharpening characteristics in our special software: drawings, measurements, … But if the customer needs new elements, I give instructions to the workshop according to the drawing we will make: circular knives, straight knives. When the workers have finished their work, I take back the goods and check if everything is done correctly. I pack the goods and if all is looking fine, I will print the final report and hand it over to my colleague Viviane from the shipping department. Sometimes I bring the goods back to the customers myself with the BKS van.

In addition, I manage the stocks at BKS. It is a warehouse with our production parts sorted and coded according to the customer’s request.

Are you alone to do this job?

Yes, I am. But of course, if I’m not here, someone will do my job! Sometimes it’s the boss (laughs).

How about the special skills for your job?

I have to be strong because I carry heavy loads. But sometimes, I ask my colleagues for help! And I have to be organized, I handle a lot of orders every day. I like my job because I can work quietly and well.
