Hello José! Tell us about your job.

Hello, I’m José and I’m working as a grinder at BKS. I grind and then polish circular knives of different diameters with a grinding machine. This one sends cooling water during sharpening to avoid dust. Then, I finish with different grinding stones depending on the material of the knives.

My job is often the same, but I like it.

Since we work with industrial knives, we must comply with several safety measures: gloves, safety glasses and ear protection. We have to be focused and precise if we don’t want to get injured (he laughs)!
